Finding Peace When the World Isn't

Easter's promise for today's uncertainty

Hello friends,

This newsletter brings you moments of spiritual clarity amidst life's chaos—Scripture to anchor you, encouragement to uplift you, and grace to carry you forward on your faith journey.

Let’s dive into today’s edition!

Verse of the Week

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

As Easter approaches, I've been thinking about how this prophecy of Jesus's sacrifice speaks to our current moment of uncertainty.

Yesterday, I watched the news cycle of conflict and division, feeling that familiar heaviness. Then I remembered—the same God who orchestrated the greatest redemption story still holds our world today.

Isaiah wasn't just describing a distant event—he was revealing the heart of a God who steps into our brokenness and transforms it from within.

In a world that feels increasingly fractured, what area of your life needs the healing and peace that only Jesus can bring?

A Quick Reflection

Peace in uncertain times isn't found in having all the answers—it's found in knowing the One who does.

Last week, my daughter asked why there's so much suffering if God is good. Rather than stumbling through theological explanations, I simply said, "That's why Easter matters so much. It shows us God doesn't stand distant from our pain—He enters it."

The anxiety around us is real, but so is the hope of resurrection.

Try it: When something overwhelms you this week, pause and whisper, "The same power that raised Jesus lives in me." Let that resurrection hope anchor you.

Your Grace Note

Here's a practical tip: As we approach Holy Week, create a simple countdown with your family or just for yourself.

Each day until Easter, read a portion of the passion narrative and reflect on how Jesus's journey to the cross speaks to our current uncertainties.

Start with Mark 11 (Palm Sunday) and end with Mark 16 (Resurrection). Let the original world-changing event remind you of God's power to transform our world today.
